Bro. Kevin 1月23日 Jan._mar. '08 Prayer LetterJanuary 2008
Greetings once again. God has blessed the past year of deputation above all that we could ask or think, how great He is.
MINISTRY UPDATE
By the end of 2007 God has blessed with 63% of our needed support coming in. We are praying about being on the field by the end of summer if our support continues to grow at this rate. The Lord blessed with a full schedule in ’07 and we were able to present the ministry in several churches. We would ask you to help us pray for our schedule this year, that we could have a busy and productive schedule. God allowed us to be a part of 21 precious souls making a profession of faith in Christ in ’07. What a joy it is to be able to see sinners born again. Sherri, Levi and myself are planning on a week long trip at the end of March back out to Utah and would ask you to help us pray about those needs. We have almost completed a CD of the kids singing. If anyone would be interested in it, just get in touch with us. I have also started on a CD and DVD dealing with some basic information on Mormonism. Several people have inquired about the information we give and I hope to have these available in a couple of months.
FAMILY NEWS
God has kept us fairly healthy and safe. Other than a few viruses, we’ve not seen much sickness. God kept us safe with almost 72,000 miles on deputation in ’07 and only one deer collision, we are grateful for His protection. Lydia has turned three this month and is growing into a little lady. Home schooling is going better this year as we have learned how to manage it a little better on the road. Please check our website ( www.brooks2utah.spaces.live.com ) we try to keep it updated as often as we can.

The Lord blessed the services Sunday at West Side Baptist Church in Cowpens, SC with a young lady getting saved. Please pray for this church as they are without a pastor at the present time. As fall and harvest season is upon us, we look back at the time of preparing and sowing and desire to see fruit. It is too late to plant any more crops. The planting season and watering season is over. We will soon be realizing that our opportunity to reach a lost and dying world will also be gone. Let us be diligent to plant and water that souls may be saved. Our desire is to be on the filed where the Lord has called us to be. We have been blessed to be in some good churches the past few weeks. God has kept us safe as we have traveled and we have seen the Lord move in the hearts and lives of His people. Thank you for your prayers and support of our family. Please continue to pray for our family. If you would like to be on our e-mail prayer letter list please contact us through the web site. We are fully aware that God is able and may have already healed her. Please keep praying for her.
I would like to also ask you to continue praying for Sandra Stewart, wife of Bro. Mark Stewart, Mid East field director for MWBM. She is having a difficult time with the cancer and treatments. I want to thank the Lord this morning for allowing me to meet and marry the love of my life 19 years ago today. I am blessed to have such a wonderful wife. "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord." Proverbs 18:22 We have had 4 new supporters this month(three churches and one individual). Please help us pray for the remainder of our support to come in. We also wanted to thank the Lord that we have been able to move into the new church building. Pastor Shook and the people have labored and God has blessed with a beautiful building. We hope to have pictures soon. I've got to cut this one short . Please continue to pray for our family. May the Lord bless. Bro. Kevin 7月29日 July 29, 2007Grretings once again. We want to thank you for visiting our site and your interest in our family. We have traveled many miles since our last update and God has kept us safe through all the miles. We have been in Ky, Va, WVa, Nc, Ga, Tn, and Fl. Please pray for Ashley, our oldest daughter, she has been having some problems with her heart. A EKG revealed some abnormalities. We have an appointment on August 7 to see a pediatric cardiologist. The pediatrician said it may be nothing but with an abnormal reading, wanted to make sure. Also please pray for sister Sandra Stewart, the wife of Bro. Mark Stewart, Mid East field director for MWBM. She has had a recurrence of breast cancer after chemo, surgery and radiation. She is going through more treatments.
Thank you for your prayers and support. Bro. Kevin 6月26日 June 26, 2007I want to apologize for the delay in getting the site updated. We have been in several meetings and want to thank the Lord for being so good to us. We finished a week at candidate school last week and had a good week. The people at Macedonia World Baptist Missions are a great bunch of folk to work with.
We now have a presentation DVD available. If you are interested please contact us. It has a 7 1/2 minute presentation with Ashley and Alisha singing, a companion booklet for the DVD that goes in more detail than our booklet "Facts on Mormonism", and will also include a copy of "Facts on Mormonism".

Bro. Kevin 5月29日 Utah survey tripThank you for being patient with us while we post the update from the survey trip. We flew out of Charlotte on Wed. May 9th and landed in Salt Lake City that morning. We spent two days in the Salt Lake area and then traveled down to St. George on Friday. We stayed in the St. George area untill Wednesday when we traveled back to the Salt Lake City area and flew back home on Friday the 18th.
While in the Salt Lake City area we were able to survey most of the Northern part of the state up to Logan. The time in St. George we surveyed the southern end of the state and we were able to go just inside the Nevada state line to Mesquite. One thing we learned is that from the southern tip to the northern tip of the state there is not a wrong location to plant a church in the state. We believe we will be in the Salt Lake valley area to begin church planting.
While we were in Salt Lake City, we met an Iranian immigrant who is of the Bahai faith. He left Iran because of the persecution he received because he was not a muslim. God allowed us to witness to this man for almost an hour and give him a clear presentation of the Gospel for the first time in his life. He asked if Ihad any literature, I told him the only literature we have is the Bible. He asked if I could get him one in his language (Farsi). I told him I would try to find him one. This was the first part of the trip while we were in SLC the first time. While in St George, Bro. Kindheart at Macedonia Worldwide Missions directed me to a organization and we had a Farsi Bible overnighted to us. When we returned to SLC we gave him the Bible and some verses to look at. Please pray for Shaun, I feel like he was being dealt with by the Lord. He was scared while we were sharing scriptures with him that he would be arrested. In Iran it is illegal to convert to any religion other than Islam and also illegal to proselytize anyone.
While in St. George we went to the temple to go through the visitors center. A young lady, a missionary, met us a t the door and escorted us through the center. Two hours later, God had opened the door to give this LDS missionary thye Gospel and watch God tear down the walls that the Mormons had put up. Please pray for thjis young lady, MS. B.
Thank you to all who have prayed for our family, and those who have given that we could go. Hebrews 6:10.
We now have a presentaion DVD, if you are interested, please contact us. Also, if you are not on our prayer letter and would like to be please let us know.
Bro. Kevin 5月19日 Survey tripWe arrived home at 4:15 this morning from our survey trip to Utah. I hope to have the details and pictures the first of the week. Thank you to all who prayed and helped with the finances of the trip. Bro. Kevin 5月8日 May 7, 2007Greetings once again from the Brooks family. We have returned from Virginia this weekend where we were in service with pastor Ryan McGuire and the Blue Stone baptist Church in Clarkesville and then Sunday night with pastor Wayne Kennon and the Peaceful Baptist Church in Danville Virginia. The Lord gave us two good services and safe travel. This past Wednesday we were with our good friends at Fellowship Baptist Church wher Bro. Anthony Greene is the pastor. The Lord met with us and we enjoyed a wonderful service. Monday night I traveled to Maryville, TN to Midway Baptist Church where Bro. Trent McKeehan is the pastor. Bro. Mark Stewart is preaching their missions conference this week. As always Bro. Stewart did a tremendous job preaching. We want to thank you for your prayers and support of our family. We don't take for granted all that you do for us. Please continue to pray for our up coming survey trip. We will post more details soon. May the Lord Bless. Bro. Kevin 5月1日 April 30, 2007We returned today from Florence Kentucky where we were in service with Pastor Doug Foster and the Immanuel Baptist Church. The Lord blessed with a good service as we presented the ministry and Bro. Foster preached a encouraging message from Acts 3: 1-11. As we traveled back we stopped at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum. While there we met two ladies, Michelle and Tammy. We talked for a while about the Bible, eternity, etc and the Lord began to move and as we shared scripture Michelle and Tammy both asked the Lord to save them. Please pray for these two precious ladies as they begin their new life in Christ. God has been so good to us this year and allowed us to see 14 precious souls saved. Thank you for your prayers and support of our family. This would not be possible without your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for our family as we travel that God woud continue to use us for His glory. Also please pray for our upcoming survey trip to Utah. We are praying that while we are there, we would see the Lord save souls. Thank you for each one that has sacrificially given for this trip. We don't take your support for granted. May the Lord bless. 4月23日 April 23, 2007April 23, 2007
Our family just returned from a few days in Jennings and Baton Rouge, LA. We traveled down Tue. and Wed. and were in service with Pastor Buddy Howard and the Calvary Baptist Church Wednesday night. The Lord blessed with a good service as we presented the work and preached that night and was blessed to see the Lord save a dear woman. We had a wonderful meal after service and good fellowship and appreciate Bro. Howard and the people at Calvary Baptist Church. Thursday and Friday we were with Pastor Glen Taylor and the Temple Baptist Church in Baton Rouge for a mission conference with Bro. Stinnett Ballew preaching. Pastor Taylor, his family, and the Temple Baptist Church were a tremendous blessing to our family. Our hearts were stirred through the preaching and our souls were refreshed with the fellowship. Thank you Bro. Taylor. As we left out Saturday morning Pastor Taylor took us through New Orleans to see the destruction from huricane Katrina. It has almost been two years but the devastation is still hard to comprehend. That city is still in need of our prayers as much work remains to be done. Sunday night we were with Pastor Tommy Morrow and the Roseville Baptist Church in Flag Pond, Tn. The Lord blessed in the service and we are grateful to Pastor Morrow and the Roseville Baptist Church for taking us on for support. Pastor Morrow has a burden for missions and for his community and it was a joy to be in service with him.
We are grate ful the Lord has given us a busy schedule and kept us safe in all the miles we have traveled. Please pray for our upcoming survey trip and the needs with that.
We thank the Lord that we are now at 45% and have seen 12 precious souls savd this year. God is good.
